The Cactus Canyon Adventure

Towering mountains, dormant volcanoes, steep canyons, desert creek beds—and we’re just getting started! Your Cactus Canyon Adventure tour takes you on a trip down the back roads of the Sonoran Desert for beautiful views of this treasured Southwest landscape.

Climb aboard our iconic pink Jeep Wrangler for an off-road adventure with sweeping views framed by majestic Saguaro, Ocotillo and Jumping Cholla cactus. Your expert tour guide will provide fascinating information about the diverse desert eco-system and Arizona’s Yavapai Nation history and culture.

We’ll will pick you up at your local area hotel. Your vehicle: A customized 4×4 pink Jeep allowing you access to the rugged roads of the Sonoran Desert, not passable with most vehicles. Your Pink Adventures Tour guide: a highly-trained professional with expertise on the geology, history and wildlife you’ll come across during your Cactus Canyon adventure. Have a question? Test your tour guide’s knowledge of the unique landscape and ecosystem surrounding you.

Time to hit the road—rough mountain roads, that is. Lean back as your guide takes you up steep hill climbs along trails overlooking the pristine Yavapai Nation lands. Your vehicle was built to endure these rough conditions as well as ensure your safety on your Cactus Canyon Adventure. Get your camera out for exquisite views of the surrounding mountain peaks which reach heights of almost 8,000 feet.

Follow your tour guide for a short, easy walk through a cholla cactus forest. This is a great time to stop and stretch your legs. The Sonoran Desert is home to over 2,000 species of plants, many of which can be found along the trail. Keep a running tally of the countless flora and fauna you’ll come across including ocotillo, chain fruit cholla, and giant saguaro. Seventy percent of the animal species in North America can be found in the Sonoran Desert. Why the thriving ecosystem? Many reasons, including the warm climate, nutrients from dormant volcanoes, and the unique location between tropical, desert, and mountain environments. It is truly a place like no other in the world.

This adventure is sure to bring you memories that will last a lifetime.
