Roller Roper - This is a mechanical roping machine often used by cowboys to practice their roping skills.  A mechanical calf is released by a spring-loaded mechanism while guests sit on a life-sized horse, and try their hand at roping.

Buck-n-Barrel - A barrel complete with cinch, blanket and reins is suspended from heavy-duty springs to give urban cowboys a "ride".  Well protected and padded the "cowboy" is a rodeo performer.

Jail House Quick Draw - Sheriffs and outlaws strap on a holster with a real 45-caliber pistol to "shoot blanks" against a time clock, and another guest!

Cowboy Golf or Outhouse Olympics - Make a hole-in-one or toss the balls into the outhouse and score big when you sink ‘em!

Tomahawk Toss - Hurl tomahawks at targets pinned to wood logs -hit the bull’s eye to score - scalps don’t count.

Fajita Sizzle

Mescal Worm Fishing

Tortilla Toss

Old Tyme Photos

Picture yourself in the old West!  Step back in time and imagine yourself as a gunslinger or a Preacher... a School M'arm or a dancer.  You were there ... in the heart of the old west ... and now you can prove it!

Orienteering

We recognize that a successful team building activity promotes three qualities that help corporations succeed - teamwork, individual confidence, and synergy.  Orienteering does just that! Participates are divided into teams of 5-10. Each team member is assigned to a different skill station, (map reading, compass use/desert navigation, desert flora, area mountains/landmarks, and concept/point system). After teams receive maps, compasses, clue sheets, Polaroid cameras, and their own guide, they are led into the Sonoran desert blindfolded and then navigate station-to-station utilizing the skills they have learned. Decision-making and teamwork, not physical speed, are required to excel.

Mountain Bike Olympics

Unlike many teambuilding events this one is not about self-discovery or learning – this is pure fun. After a familiarization ride through the desert the teams arrive at the coarse.  The games are simple and riders of any ability can compete.  Mountain Bike Olympics creates a winning and competitive attitude in the outdoors, which will be carried over to the workplace.

Sample events:

-        The Skid Pit - The team with the longest average skid wins.

-        Team Push - The team must give a mighty shove and see how far their teammate will roll without pedaling.

-        The Slow Slalom - The team that rides the slalom course the slowest wins.

Hiking Tours

Venture into the lush desert and learn all about the unique flora, fauna, geology, and history with our knowledgeable, professional guides.  Exploring on foot is the most intimate and educational way to experience the desert. You’ll enjoy an up close and personal look at the elements that comprise the Sonoran Desert, and find answers to ever-popular questions - Just how old is that saguaro? Which cactus did John Wayne drink from?   While more than a simple nature walk, the hike is designed so that individuals of modest fitness levels as well as more active participants will enjoy themselves.

Cattle Drives

Come experience Arizona’s spectacular desert scenery and wildlife the old fashioned way – on horseback.  You’ll see spectacular views of the Mazatzal Wilderness and Tonto National Forest while pushing cattle down the trails of the wild Mustangs.

-        This event runs approximately two hours

-        If your group exceeds 25 guests, the group will be divided into separate “waves”

-        Each “wave” will depart the stables in 15 minute intervals and return in 15 minute intervals

-        Each wave will drive approximately 20 cattle from our remote round-pens

We will provide bottled water to your guests

It definitely takes a certain knack and talent to die properly when shot in the streets of Ft. McDowell.  Try entertaining your guests with a “dying contest”.  Always a hit and a lot of fun, our host gets the whole crowd involved in this contest.

Shotgun Wedding

You get the whole famn damily with this crowd pleaser.  That’s right, things start off with a bang as Pa and his 2 boys crash your party lookin’ fer a no good, low down, varmit what done his daughter wrong.  When their search seems to be in vain, you meet the object of misguided affection, daughter “Calamity” herself.  The culprit is located (you pick the victim) and justice takes a grim turn just as the Marshall arrives to take control.  With a hangin’ out of the question, a wedding solves the problem.  This is another fail-safe show!

Petting Zoo

Kids and parents alike love our cute little critters.  We’ll set up our mini barnyard and fill it with about a dozen hand-tamed farm animals.
